On November 19th, 2006 Nintendo released the Wii gaming system. Since the release the Wii system has been next to impossible to find and those that can be found are almost always bundled in to a package that costs twice as much, if not more, than the console alone. The reason that the Wii is so hard to find is because of the inability to keep up with production. Will these items get easier to find? Right now is probably the best time to start looking because come Christmas time the demand will be right back up again and they will be no where to be found.

The Wii console has a useful online tracker that can be used to check it’s availability online, you can find a link to this tracker in the header of our site under "trackers" or you can simply click here. The only way to check availability locally; however, is to visit your local stores or to give them a call. We recommend calling ahead as this saves a lot of running around town. The Wii system is usually stocked at the following stores:
Toysrus.com / ToysRus stores
Amazon.com
KBToys.com / KB Toys stores
Etoys.com
Gamestop.com
Boscovs
EBGames.com
Sears.com / Sears stores
Target.com / Target stores
Walmart.com / Walmart stores
Kohls
Kmart.com / Kmart stores
Samsclub.com / Sams Club stores
Bjs.com / BJs Warehouse Stores
Circuitcity.com / Circuit City stores
Bestbuy.com / Best Buy stores
Smaller local and privately owned toystores
Many of these online retailers will carry bundled items to go with your Wii console purchase, depending on what accessories you want to go with your console you may or may not find these bundles useful. The key to the Wii; however, is finding it months ahead of time because take it from us, come Christmas time this system will still be out of stock EVERYWHERE you turn.
