The PS3 is not in as huge demand as the Nintendo Wii system, simply because of the price of the unit; however, if you are prepared to pay the money for the PS3 unit it is more than worth it to get the graphics. We recommend that you stick with the smaller of the two systems, that is the 20GB as opposed to the 60GB, especially if you are buying this system for a child’s Christmas present. The extra money you save in buying the smaller of the two systems is better spent on accessories instead of the extra harddrive space. The bonus in the PS3 comes with the ability to play BluRay DVD’s, this is extremely useful especially if you’ve been contemplating the $1000 BluRay system..however, these systems will be coming down in price shortly so keep that in mind as you go Christmas shopping this season.

You can also check recent information about the PS3 here. The only way to check availability locally; however, is to visit your local stores or to give them a call. We recommend calling ahead as this saves a lot of running around town. The PS3 system is usually stocked at the following stores though and you should run in to few problems in finding them.
